Hello i'm Tori
I offer a warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental therapeutic space where you can explore whatever may be bringing you to therapy.
I work with people experiencing a wide range of emotional and relational challenges, and have a particular interest in how stress, trauma and significant life experiences can continue to shape the ways we think, feel, relate and experience ourselves long after the original experience has passed.
Alongside exploring present-day challenges, we may also consider how past experiences, relationships and patterns continue to shape our lives in the here and now, and the ways we relate to ourselves and others. I also have a particular interest in supporting women through the emotional, relational and identity shifts that can accompany becoming a parent.
My work is informed by many years spent within health, wellbeing and charity-sector roles, alongside experience supporting women through the transition into motherhood as a postnatal doula and yoga teacher. I have also worked within an NHS chronic pain psychology service and contributed to research exploring women's experiences of returning to work after maternity leave with Pregnant Then Screwed.
Alongside private practice and ongoing clinical training in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute in London, I currently work with adults in two low-cost community counselling services.
I hold an MSc in Psychology with Distinction. My work is supported by regular clinical supervision, and I practise in accordance with professional ethical guidelines as a registered trainee member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
